API Key

Used for API requests to authenticate between server and device.

💡 When proxying is enabled, this value must be identical to your device's API Key associated with your hosted account. Otherwise, you won't be able to authenticate and proxy images onto your device.

Firmware Beta

When enabled, allows your device to be automatically updated when Beta (unstable) firmware versions are released.

This feature is not fully supported at the moment.

Firmware Update

When enabled, allows your device to be automatically updated when new firmware versions become available.

Friendly ID

Provides a way to uniquely identify your device.

💡 When proxying is enabled, ensure this value is identical to your device's Friendly ID associated with your hosted account. Otherwise, having a different but unique ID won't hurt anything.

Image Timeout

The time, in seconds, to fetch the image before timing out (useful if you are making an external request for an image).

MAC Address

Uniquely identifies your device when communicating over the network. Must consist of six segments, be capitalized, and only use hexadecimal characters. Example: A1:B2:C3:D4:E5:F6.

Model

The device model which details hardware specifications.

Playlist

Your playlist that determines the schedule and order of which screens render on your device.

Proxy

Allows you to display remote images generated via your TRMNL account when enabled. This includes:

Remote images will take precedence, when enabled, over locally generated images.

💡 Your MAC address and API key must be identical to your device's MAC address and API Key associated with your hosted account. Otherwise, you won't be able to authenticate and proxy images onto your device.

Refresh Rate

The time, in seconds, until the next image is displayed on your device.

Sleep Start

Allows you to set when your device should go to sleep. Requires corresponding stop time.
